What we collect, what we don’t, and why

Short version: we collect only what we need to run the parking lot and deliver your pass. No tracking pixels, no data brokers, no marketing list.

1. Who we are

This site (binghamtonparking.com) is operated by the owner of the parking lot at 91 Front St, Binghamton, NY 13905 (“park@91front,” “we,” “us”). Questions? Email support@binghamtonparking.com.

2. What we collect

Information you give us directly

• Pass signup (/buy): name, email, phone, vehicle make / model / year / color, license plate, delivery address (if you choose mail delivery), and your typed e-signature.
• Contact form (/contact): name, email, optional phone, topic, and message.
• Email: anything you send us at support@binghamtonparking.com.

Information collected automatically

• IP address, user-agent, timestamp — recorded when you submit a pass agreement or contact message. Used for legal record-keeping (ESIGN Act compliance) and basic abuse prevention (rate limiting).
• Server access logs — standard web server logs retained briefly for operational troubleshooting.

Payment information (Stripe)

Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe receives your card number, billing address, and payment details directly — we never see or store your card number. We receive only a customer ID, the last four digits, and subscription status. Stripe’s privacy policy governs their handling of that data.

Cameras on site

The parking lot has security cameras that record the property 24/7 for operational purposes. Footage stays on-site, is not published, and is not sold or shared except as required by law enforcement with valid legal process.

3. What we don’t collect

• No third-party tracking pixels or advertising trackers.
• No Google Analytics / Facebook Pixel / ad retargeting.
• No newsletter auto-subscription.
• No sale of your data to brokers or partners — ever.

4. Cookies

The website itself uses only a minimal session cookie (if any) to keep you logged into Stripe Checkout during your purchase. We don’t use analytics or advertising cookies. Stripe Checkout (a separate page you’re redirected to when buying a pass) sets its own cookies — those are governed by Stripe’s privacy policy.

5. How we use your info

• To fulfill your parking pass and mail or hand you an access card.
• To charge your monthly subscription via Stripe.
• To contact you about your pass (billing, access, lot notices).
• To respond to your contact-form submission or email.
• To keep a legal record of signed agreements (name, e-signature, IP, timestamp).
• To comply with law or respond to valid legal process.

6. Who we share it with

• Stripe — for payment processing.
• USPS — if you choose mail delivery for your access card.
• Law enforcement — only if legally required.

That’s it. We don’t share with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing partners.

7. How long we keep it

• Signed pass agreements: retained for seven years (legal record-keeping).
• Contact-form submissions: retained until resolved, generally no more than 24 months.
• Server logs: retained briefly for troubleshooting (typically 30–90 days).
• Canceled subscriptions: billing records retained per Stripe’s policy and applicable tax law.

8. Your rights

You can email support@binghamtonparking.com to:

• Ask what we have on file about you.
• Correct or update your information.
• Request deletion of a contact-form submission.
• Request deletion of your account data (subject to legal retention for signed agreements).

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to know, delete, and opt out of sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise these rights, email the address above.

9. Children

The site is not directed to children under 13. BHS student passes are for licensed drivers and require parent or guardian co-signature.

10. Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top and (for material changes) note it on the homepage for at least 30 days.
