The basics

How does the gate and access card work?

The lot is gated with card-only entry. Once your payment clears, we issue you a personal access card (pick mail or in-person pickup at checkout). Tap it at the gate to enter, tap it to leave — as many times as your plan allows. While your card is in the mail, we'll email a temporary access code so you can park on day one.

Are there cameras? Is it secure?

Yes, security cameras record the lot 24/7, and it's gated. That said, you still park at your own risk — we assume no liability for theft, vandalism, weather, or damage. Cameras help, but they don't replace locking your doors and keeping valuables out of sight. See the Terms for the full story.

Where exactly is 91 Front St?

On Front Street in Binghamton, NY 13905, between the Court Street and Clinton Street bridges. A short walk across either bridge puts you in downtown Binghamton.

Is the lot open to the public?

Yes. The lot is also open to the public for short-term and hourly parking. Monthly passholders use their access card; public parkers follow the posted instructions at the lot.

Do I need to tell you when I'm leaving town or parking overnight?

No. Come and go however you want under your plan's hours. Park overnight, park for a week, fly home for break and leave the car — the gate and cameras don't care. It's your spot until you stop paying.

BU / college 24‑7 monthly pass

Can I come and go at 3 a.m.?

Yes. The 24/7 card works any hour with no curfew, call-ahead, or notification required.

Is it close to BU off-campus housing and the frat houses?

Yes — this block of Front Street is basically the center of BU off-campus life. Most of the fraternity and sorority houses are on Front or within a block or two (Delta Sigma Phi is next to the lot at 94 Front, Phi Kappa Psi is at 93 Front). The surrounding blocks — Main, Chapin, Oak, Murray — are full of student rentals. For BU's main campus in Vestal, OCCT shuttle stops are a few minutes up Main Street.

Can I share my access card with a roommate?

No. Access cards are personal and non-transferable. Sharing, lending, or letting someone else into the lot on your card results in immediate termination of your pass (no refund) plus a $250 liquidated-damages fee per incident. Cameras record every entry.

Does the 24/7 pass roll over for summer?

Yes, unless you cancel. If you are going home for summer, email support@binghamtonparking.com and we can pause the subscription.

Can I cancel the 24/7 monthly pass?

Yes, any time — it's a month-to-month subscription. Cancel before your next billing date and your card deactivates on the renewal date. No prorated refunds for partial months.

BHS school-year pass

How does a school-year membership get sold over the physical spot count?

Same way a gym sells more memberships than treadmills — only a fraction of members show up on any given day. Historically, school-day parking on this block is well below 50% utilization. If the lot ever fills before first bell, the next member to arrive gets a same-day refund and a free month.

Why lock in for the full school year?

Two reasons: capacity planning and price stability. We cap the school-year pool at a number that keeps the lot from filling up, and you pay the launch rate for all 10 months even if the rate goes up for new sign-ups in the fall.

Why is the BHS pass cheaper than the 24/7 pass?

It only covers weekdays 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the school year. No nights, no weekends, no summer — that window is what makes it cheaper.

What if the lot is full when I arrive?

The school-year pool is sized so the lot stays under physical capacity on any given weekday. If the lot ever fills before first bell, you get a same-day refund and a free month.

What about snow days, early release, half-days?

Covered. Your card works any weekday between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. during the school year, regardless of what the district schedule does. Summer school is not included.

Can I switch to the 24/7 monthly pass later?

Yes. You can upgrade to the 24/7 monthly pass at any time (subject to monthly-pass availability) and we'll prorate the switch. Downgrade the other direction at the end of your school-year term.

BHS student specifics

What do I need to sign up as a BHS student?

A valid New York driver's license or learner permit, current Binghamton High School enrollment, and a parent or guardian who co-signs the agreement as the billing contact.

Is there a parent or guardian co-signature for student passes?

Yes. For any passholder under 18, a parent or guardian must co-sign the electronic agreement and be on file as the billing contact. The student's NY learner permit or license goes on the vehicle registration form.

Can I use the school-year pass nights and weekends?

No — school-year, school-hours only. For 24/7 access, pick the college monthly pass instead.
